We are very excited to announce that the Computer Science department is on the way to establish its first endowed professorship, Professor Hue and Pat McCoy Endowed Professorship, with seed money comes from the generous support of Professor Hue and Pat McCoy.

The professorship recognizes a faculty member who has distinguished themselves for excellence and leadership in research, teaching, and service in the Department of Computer Science at New Mexico State University. The Professor Hue and Pat McCoy Endowed Professorship is aimed at recognizing the dedication of the faculty member to promoting and advancing the role of the department and of Computer Science, with particular emphasis on recognizing faculty members who have made significant efforts resulting in an improvement in participation, retention, and success of Computer Science students.
