BIGDatA REU Program @ NMSU CS

The CS Department is excited to announce its first summer Research Experiences for Undergrads in Big Data Analytics for Cyber-Physical Systems (BIG DatA)!

This BIGDatA REU program provides funded learning and research opportunities to undergraduates to pursue future academic and career goals in Computing, especially in big data analytics for cyber-physical systems.

Funding for the 10-week opportunity includes:

• $5,000 stipend
• housing and meals
• roundtrip airfare to Las Cruces, NM

Activities

• Creation of long-term partnerships among students.
• Enrichment through training workshops that develop research skills and prepare for graduate school.
• Visit companies and labs (Los Alamos National Lab, Sandia National Labs, White Sands Missile Range-Army Research Lab).
• Present research at conferences.

• Eligibility: must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents of the United States.
